Any Dream Will Do Performance Track

I closed my eyes,
Drew back the curtain
To see for certain
What I thought I knew.
Far, far away
someone was weeping,
But the world was sleeping,
Any dream will do.

I wore my coat
with golden lining,
bright colours shining,
wonderful and new.
And in the East
The dawn was breaking,
And the world was waking,
Any dream will do.

A crash of drums, a flash of light,
My golden coat flew out of sight.
The colours faded into darkness,
I was left alone.
May I return to the beginning
The light is dimming,
And the dream is too.
The world and I,
We are still waiting,
Still hesitating,
Any dream will do.

Give me my coloured coat,
My amazing coloured coat.
Give me my coloured coat,
My amazing coloured coat.

Let's Go Fly A Kite Performance Track

With tuppence for paper and strings,
You can have your own set of wings.
With your feet on the ground
You’re a bird in flight,
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite
Oh,

Let’s go fly a kite,
Up to the highest height!
Let’s go fly a kite
And send it soaring.
Up through the atmosphere,
Up where the air is clear,
Oh let’s go fly a kite.

When you  send it flying up there,
All at once you’re lighter than air,
You can dance on the breeze
Over house and trees,
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite.
Oh,

Let’s go fly a kite,
Up to the highest height!
Let’s go fly a kite
And send it soaring.
Up through the atmosphere,
Up where the air is clear,
Oh let’s go fly a kite.

(Part 2)
Ah,
Ah,
Ah,
Ah,
Ah, trees,
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite.
Oh,

Let’s go fly a kite,
Up to the highest height!
Let’s go fly a kite
And send it soaring.
Up through the atmosphere,
Up where the air is clear,
Oh let’s go fly a kite.

Last term we learnt ‘We All Live Under the Same Sky’. Here is a link to the backing track and the lyrics are below:-

We All Live Under the Same Sky Backing Track

Parts 1 & 2
We all live under the same sky
On this planet green and wide,
Sharing our earth, planning our futures
with our friends,
and with our families side by side.
For we all sleep under the same moon,
Many people, many lands,
So let us sing, join our voices, join our hands.

Part 3
Reach out my brother,
Come and sing together.
Reach out my sister
Follow your heart and make a difference in this
World we share.
Reach out my brother,
Come and sing together,
Join our voices, join our hands.

When you feel sometimes
The world looks grey,
And tears are in your eyes.
There’s  a star above you shining there,
Just look up to the skies
You can see it in the sky.

Repeat Parts 1, 2, 3 above

Last term we learnt ‘Winter Carol’. Here is the backing track and the performance track and the lyrics are below:-

Winter Carol Backing Track

Winter Carol Performance Track

Icy, sparkly, like jewels on the ground.
Tiny snowflakes lie still all around.
Listen, listen, there’s hardly a sound.
Winter’s here again.

And the frost on the trees could be springtime blossom,
While the stars up above take us somewhere unknown.
There’s not even a ripple on the water today.
It’s a beauty to behold when it gets this cold.

Picture postcard, winter scene,
Not a single patch of green.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for this wonderful time of year.

Snowmen standing, nowhere to go.
Little Robin redbreast he darts to and fro.
Footsteps crunch in that very first snow.
Winter’s here again, winter's here again.

And the frost on the trees could be springtime blossom,
While the stars up above take us somewhere unknown.
There’s not even a ripple on the water today.
It’s a beauty to behold when it gets this cold.

Picture postcard, winter scene,
Not a single patch of green.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for this wonderful time, this time of year.

Birds aplenty that’s for sure, at this time of year,
Hours of daylight getting few’r this time of year.
Hear the choirs singing, ah
Hear the church bells ringing out
Ding, dong, ding, dong.
Ah, ah

Picture postcard, winter scene,
Not a single patch of green.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for this wonderful time, this time of year.
For this wonderful time, this time of year.
